Interesująca historia planu: przejęty po 1939 roku przez Niemców (Reichsamt für Landesaufnahme), po wojnie wywieziony z amerykańskiej strefy okupacyjnej i przyjęty na stan Biblioteki Departamentu Stanu (1947 r), następnie przekazany do Biblioteki CIA. W 1982 r. trafił do biblioteki uniwersyteckiej w Utah, prawdopodobnie wcześniej,“po drodze” przechowywany był w Bibliotece Kongresu. Size: 58.5 x 54.5 cm, folded size: 21 x 10.5 cm. Description by the upper border of the plan (right-hand size): colour edition. Also in top-right corner: signs & symbols used (railways, local railway links, street car lines, bus routes, town boundaries, churches, cemetaries, gardens and parks. Contour lines every 5 m. Small Old Town plan in the top-right corner (approx. 1: 6,250). Index grid printed. A separate booklet with key institutions, streets and points of interested was available. No date, approx. 1935. This particular copy comes with an interesting history: captured in 1939 by the Germans (Reichsamt für Landesaufnahme), possibly as a ref. source, it was found in the US occupational zone of Germany after WW2. Shipped to the US, taken in by the State Department Library (1947), passed on to the CIA Library. In 1982 registed in the Brigham Young University Library, probably it was held by the Library of Congress prior to that. |
